Kept Cautious Thoughts Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Kept Cautious Thoughts

Life to have lived,
Through several different experiences.
Had to have learned,
From each one of them.
Has a lasting unexpected affect,
On one's patience and tolerance.
That grows in acceptance.
With aging less to be judgemental.
And refusing nonsense.
Known for what it is.

Kept cautious thoughts,
Done becomes easier to identify...
Unwanted B.S.
With its foolishness to leave,
Without excuses from it to exit quick.

And kept cautious are those thoughts,
To decide which ones...
Are beneficial to define kept to keep,
More satisfying to a peace of mind.
No one has to remind,
Who is deserving of it to know...
What has been earned.
Not to get up and walk away from it.
Anytime soon.
Or later awaiting to anticipate it done.

"What would you possibly,
Trade your peace of mind to have? "

That would be a difficult decision to make.
However...
If I HAD to do it.
I would possibly trade my peace of mind,
For your distance.

"But...
That would be,
More of a win for a win situation."

Exactly.
