Killing The Tree Poem by MUSAWIR RAAKH

Killing The Tree

Rating: 5.0

I was passing through a JUNGLE
When I heeded a screaming TREE
I asked about her TROUBLE
She said, 'my flowers were plucked for FREE'
My stems were burnt for no REASON
My leaves were plucked AIMLESSLY
My life is like the one in TORTURE
My life is the sign of MISERY

Would that I've burnt for BECAUSE
Or for making stuff, BECAUSE
I am here to provide, what human NEED
But not to be ruined without positive GREED
Utilize me but do not WASTE
Let me grow, don't make HASTE
Let me clear this ATMOSPHERE
Let me spread, the heaven's LAYER
