When a plastic gondola is full of ice cream
imagine that is the Venetian courtesan,
then a cunning trader tells everyone
that he personally sailed with her across Venice.

She imagines that she is
Venice's biggest courtesan,
personal poet Veronica Franko,
as long as a cunning trader does not sell
and until she gets into the trash
those who ate ice cream.

Kad plastična gondola puna sladoleda
zamisli da je venecijanska kurtizana
onda lukavi trgovac svima priča
da je on lično plovio s njom po Veneciji.

Ona zamišlja da je najveća kurtizana Venecije,
lično pjesnikinja, Veronika Franko,
sve dok je lukavi trgovac ne proda
i dok je ne bace u smeće
oni koji su pojeli sladoled.
