Knowing Nothing About Truth Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Knowing Nothing About Truth

Mistakes to make,
By those who claim them made that way.
Become less to forgive as quickly.
Especially when one has grown older to know,
The difference between what is done with intent.
And what a child does to pretend,
A doing what they meant to do...
Would be easily excused if an apology is given.
However,
A child who learns early to manipulate.
Should not choose to use the same childish excuses.
To think an adult,
Is not experienced enough to know the difference...
Between,
Someone who lies.
Knowing nothing about truth.
And someone who hides behind alibis.
In the hopes to dupe.
Another thought to be a fool,
Who easily forgives and forgets stupidity.
