Kobe Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Kobe

A light so bright,
Not too soon to forget.
Contributions made,
With such sportsmanship.
On and off the court of basketball.
Determined to give your all.
Done to thrill and enthrall,
Those of every race.
And every place to remember,
Your grace and light filled face.
Many imitated but none can replace.
That path you have created.

Missed you will be,
Kobe Bryant.
Defiant of limitations.
Relying on faith.
And abilities to achieve,
The impossible.
Leaving people like me to believe.
Anything want to wish can be done.
With determined motivation.
Kept to reflect.
Despite obstacles to face.
With a doing to overcome them.

Thank you, Kobe!
