kya kahun us se ki jo baat samajhta hi nahin

What do I tell him? Nothig does he understand
Our meeting he takes causually, he doesn't understand

I have seen dreams with my open eyes
Our night of meeting he does not understand

I won and sent him running to the mosque
It was my turn but he doesn't understand

The night breeze must have kept him awake
Why he could not sleep, he does not understand

He understands some forms of poetry
The ways of love he does not understand(Added couplets)

'Ravi' tries hard to win back her love
Why she ignores him, he does not understand

She complains day and night about everything
'Ravi' loves her but she does not understand

kyā kahūñ us se ki jo baat samajhtā hī nahīñ
vo to milne ko kya kahun us se ki jo baat samajhta hi nahi

ham ne dekhā hai faqat ḳhvāb khulī āñkhoñ se
ḳhvāb thī vasl kī vo raat samajhtā hī nahīñ

maiñ ne pahuñchāyā use jiit ke har ḳhāne meñ
merī baazī thī mirī maat samajhtā hī nahīñ

raat purvā.ī ne us ko bhī jagāyā hogā
raat kyuuñ kaT na sakī raat samajhtā hī nahīñ

shā.erī kā koī andāz samajhtā hai inheñ
vo mohabbat kī rivāyāt samajhtā hī nahīñ
