La Nuit, La Porche. (Translation) . Poem by Michael Walker

La Nuit, La Porche. (Translation) .

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Sitting on a porch at night, looking at nothing in particular, reminds him of future oblivion. (Mark Strand died in Brooklyn, New York, in 2014) . the feel of the wind hints at something 'ungraspable' nearby. We want to be strangers to other people, to be private, more than we want a particular season. We always seem to be waiting for something, like a leaf falling and disappearing. He sees a book lying around and concludes that there is no limit to what we can learn (true) . Even though the author did not have us in mind when he wrote the book.
A superb poem, in my opinion.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Kumarmani Mahakul 23 March 2018

This poem is very amazingly and brilliantly penned and this is perfectly translated by you. In the wind it feels incomprehensible somewhere else. Wind hints at something 'ungraspable' nearby. This poem is definitely a super poem...10
