Rating: 5.0

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Poem Hunter/ L. Ferlinghetti/poems/ 5/33.
The topical poem is about saving and changing the world. Poetry can be an insurgent art, inspiring people to make changes in their world. These are apocalyptic times; the North Pole is no longer where it used to be. Civilization is destroying itself: nemesis is knocking on the door. You could become a life-changing poet like Walt Whitman. Allen Ginsberg, in 'Howl', and June Jordan's poems either criticize the world seriously, or seek to change it.
The poem reminds me of Karl Marx's quote (on his grave) : 'The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it'.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

The North Pole is no longer where it was ans such shifting provokes thought. Waving thoughts through flame of knowledge manifests destiny. Life and poetry both are associated. A well penned poem is perfectly translated by nice effort...10
