Lady Moon Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Lady Moon

Lady Moon blankets nighttime with a softened glow
That awakes the slumbering nocturnal
While standing in the shaded mist
We embrace the light of her sweet kiss

Her gentle beams that touch our souls
Relieves the stress of dark, we know
With so many different shades of night
There is never one without her light

Young men answer true love's call
When maidens sing in dance to rhyming song
The handfasting has now begun
They bridge the broomstick to join as one

Lady Moon blesses their joining in a spiritual life
A promise before her, for a year on this night
It is a blessing of union that their young hearts create
Blessed Be her love we celebrate
