Lady Moon Poem by Paul Sebastian

Lady Moon

Happy faced Lady, swollen with pride
Unabashedly she's shining bright
She's come to light up the garden
Where lovers speak love in silence

Children play under the flood-lit open
Singing and dancing as night deepens
Whilst birds silently sleep in their nest
She graces by in her star-studded dress

Tonight's poet's invitation night
Sitting under the table light
I'm love-stung by her to write
My Lady's celestial quiet stride

Tonight, like many cold nights
You come to my heart's delight
Sitting beside as I search my heart
Your presence soul-fills a poet

Come Lady Moon, sit by my side
I‘ll go into the depths of my heart
Dig for some pearls therein lie
A chest of treasure, I offer you a part

Come love, light up our secret garden
Where red roses hide beneath your veil
Perfumed garden stage lovers' assent
Consumed, we're swept into lovers' gale
Come Lady Moon, let's sink into our arms
Drink the wine from our thirsting lips
Let our souls melt, sleep in passion's balm
Let's treasure ethereal moments for keeps
