Lake Poem by Ian Bowen

Lake

The lake now glistens
Shines like a soldiers, silver shield
Polished by summer

Darting dragon flies
Glide over pond-white lily
Sunbeams catch their glow

Frogs on floating pads
Dream of tongues full of green flies
Life's larder provides
