Larger Than Life Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Larger Than Life

A young man's imagination.
But it all came true...

Eager and longing for success, with ambition overflowing
I can see what lies ahead and where I'm really going.

Already a mega-manager, my salary's rather high
And I have a glowing sweetheart - the apple of my eye.

Friends say I am good-looking with charm and manners too
The next step up the ladder might well astonish you.

When on the Board of Directors, a manor house I'll buy
On the outskirts of the City, upon a hilltop high.

My car will be swish and super, chosen with care you see
Red - streamlined and modern, the most up to date Audi.

Surely my plans will all come true; a high-flyer I will be
In a hurry and full of zest! 'Larger than life', that's me.
