Last Inked Full Stop A Judgement Of Humanity Poem by Terence George Craddock

Last Inked Full Stop A Judgement Of Humanity

Rating: 5.0

history is an onion skin
layer upon layer of skin
each skin but a layer a slice
a peel stripped from peel peel peel
entire epochs of history entire civilizations
have passed into nothing less than dust
without a ripple without an echo
emotions passions lives lost generations...

but a few breaths lived to leave records
words written preserved words lost
history is words history is written words
but truth countless histories perish evaporate
never written never echoing a single lost
word true history is a slice dice fable of survival
history is not a beginning an enduring middle
history is a summary an analysis defining end...

the last inked full stop a judgement of humanity...
