Late To Repent Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Late To Repent

Rating: 5.0

I have never tried to know
There were set norms to go
As man and as human too
It was always reflected through

So many things are to be done
Not as per wish but at point of gun
Not for immediate result by visible violence
But to carry out the work successfully at once

Deception and lies might have played great role
Show might have been maintained and lime light stolen
Yet inner heart may say" it is not on"
Even though nicely show might have gone

Mirror or no mirror
It is definitely an error
Thoughts are like terror
Makes man mean and inferior

Yet it is no more as an art
It is life's part
You may want to hide
Don't want to show the face and confide

It eats you up at later stage
When you grow an old with age
You have not an answer
But you know its reminder

Hell with all such thoughts
So much suffered in the game and fought
There is nothing more to suffer at this time
It is quiet late to repent and address sometimes
