What has begun to happen,
To many people.
Falling to their knees.
Unable to prevent themselves,
From laughing hysterically.

Don't they realize,
We are living in the midst...
Of a global pandemic.
Threatening to wipe out,
Life as we know it.
While the economy kisses,
The bottom of rocks.
And people dropping like flies.
But more concerned,
About losing the value...
Of stocks they've got.

And even though warned,
If not 'masked'...
A returning back to a 'normalcy'.
They may never again see.
So thousands rush to the beaches.
Barbershops, bars and bowling alleys.
Protesting against,
A social distance they should keep.
Tossing off masks.
Thinking it unpatriotic,
To protect themselves from becoming sick.
No other time has anyone lived like this.

And those people falling to their knees,
Laughing Hysterically?
Once attempting to take seriously,
All this crazy stuff going on.
Find it difficult to believe,
Elected leaders they have picked,
Recommend for them to wash their hands.
But not their entire bodies.
Yet they themselves can not keep,
This virus called 'covid-19'...
From maneuvering around security guards,
Doctors, lawyers and scientists.
Experts in their fields.
Ensuring their safety guaranteed to provide.

To then suggest,
The real threat to their lives...
Are those people,
Old forgotten and living...
In convalescent homes.
Meat cutters covered from head to toe,
In gear as if auditioning...
For episodes of Star Wars.
Or those who have been confined,
To prisons and locked away.
Surrounded by razor sharp,
Barbed wired fences.

Everyday.
Sunrise; Sunset.
It's becoming more like a comedy show.
And the writers of this stuff?
Are incredibly creative.
Yet...
Little of it is made up.
It's...
There.
Everywhere.

And...
Everyday.
Sunrise; Sunset.
They keep it fresh.
With some of the most amazing,
Undiluted to delude.
Many people don't take seriously anymore.
It's too funny to accept as believable.
Although it is...
Real to believe.
