Lavender Field Poem by Sarah Persson

Lavender Field

Rating: 5.0

A stem of pale lilac hue,
Alongside those of purple and blue,
The scent entwined with grasses that sway,
Sweet lavender fragrance dances away.

The haze, slightly dense,
Even roses stem shy,
Where the lavender fields hold their heads,
Contently high.

The wind will upsurge,
With indulgences sweet,
Mementos of summer days,
Drifting on purple haze.

A beautiful poem Sarah, as beautiful as the picture of the lavender field. The last stanza is so lovely: 'The wind will upsurge, With indulgences sweet, Momentos of summer days, Drifting on purple haze.'. The poem, so well written, deserves full marks and I gladly give it: 5 Stars *****! I recommend this poem to be selected as the 'Member Poem of the Day' for any day soon.
