Leave Me Wild Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Leave Me Wild

Leave me wild

Take away your system
-with spoon, fork, plate
- (on table, by the chairs)
-leave me wild…

Do not want your silver
-neither china, clay…

Take away your rule, law
-do not want your bus, car
-neither the airplane
-nor subway…

Leave me wild…
Leave me wild…
Leave me wild…

Give me my nature back
-in forests and mountains
-with shrubs and bushes
-and flying insects…

Leave me wild…
Leave me wild…
Leave me wild…

Want the see to scare
-when near huge whales.

Want sky to frown
-with her thunder, cloud.

Leave me wild…
Leave me wild…
Leave me wild…

Take your books and schools
-leave me and my dark cave to
-scratch on stones
-to show love, confused…

Want fire with flint
-not life of electric
- (microwave, a click;
-and fridge to save milk!)
