Leaving It All Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Leaving It All

Rating: 5.0

One man was yielding knife
He wanted to kill another with life
The man was asking to spare
The situation seemed very rare

The humanity demanded
That I should have rushed
To his rescue and saved
But I failed and did not dare

I turned blind eye
Did not even look at or try
Screamed or shouted for people
Such was coward in me to invite more trouble

We have become senseless
We are all great on face
But do not wish to render assistance
In case of any exigencies at once

It is kind of escape tendency
That increases its frequency
We are showing apathy
That is real pity

No one wants to involve
And honestly solve
Whether it is law and order
Or any social disorder

We are as we are
Totally ignorant and very far
From the reality
And leaving it all to almighty
