Leaving Me Poem by Samantha Rose Turner

Leaving Me

Rating: 5.0

As you shatter my heart in 2, I thought about forgiving you.
Should I hate you for what you have done? Should I bother to run?
I cannot hurt sure a soul that way,
But obviously you can hurt one like mine.

How long must I fall before I hit the ground?
I scream and shout, yet you don’t hear a sound.
My heart is worn out, broken in 2,
But I have to realize that now we are through.

How could I have let my heart become so attached,
Knowing it would break in the end like it always does.
Im now on the other end of the string,
I can see how much pain this brings.
