Legal High Poem by Jennifer Birchall

Legal High

Rating: 5.0

I said I wasn't going to get hooked
It'll never happen to me
Started off a little at a time
Gradually I wanted more and more
It's all I think of, I need my next fix
From morning until sleep takes me
It's all I want, need to inhale
Inject into my veins
So my whole body feels the rush
My mind buzzing from the legal high
Poetry in its purest form
It's got a grip, I'm addicted

Thankful to be addicted to poetry which she describes like drugs: surprising end- I was worried there for a moment. Felt like I was reading about a junky opening up and didn't know what my reporting accountability would be.

You should leave off the rehabilitation and stick the the legal high, bringing joy to all. X
