Lesson Learned Poem by Pen Anthony

Lesson Learned

You gave them your heart
They broke it and kicked the debris
Don't let it turn you into a bitter person
Instead let it be a lesson learned
There is a person deserving of you

Someone took advantage of your kindness
Don't let it change you
Instead let it be a lesson learned
That you'll be able to discern their kind

Your friend spreads rumours about you
Don't hate them let it be a lesson learned
You scare them enough to make them jealous
That is a filter for the true ones

You needed them
They were too busy
That is a lesson learned
On who should be a priority to you.

Much wisdom contained herein, and serendipitously timely. A fine write, good poet.
