Let Me Cry Poem by Josh Burnett

Let Me Cry

Beaten down in this corner.
I fall to the misery of you peircing eyes.
I look down upon the ground.
For I see no light behind.
Love is the only thing you knew how to hide.
So ride this train wreck out
For the final time,
And let me cry.

It wasn't that bad.
So why are you so sad?
Does it really make you that mad?
You want me to leave.
Then don't expect me to come back.
It was just an attack
Inside of my mind.
You made me crave for you.
You made me brave the truth.
But I knew I wouldn't be staying
Here in this fantasy.
As I had to go back to reality.
You say I've blinded you
So you couldn't see.
But you were the one who was mean.
So just back away
To never let us be.

Beaten down in this corner.
I fall to the misery of you peircing eyes.
I look down upon the ground.
For I see no light behind.
Love is the only thing you knew how to hide.
So ride this train wreck out
For the final time,
And let me cry.

Let what you need be said out.
Begin to shout
So I can hear it clear and loud.
I knew what we searched for
Would never be found.
Did you really ever
Want me around?
Because if you did
You never woulda wore that frown.
Violent tears
Call out our name,
And tehy begin to take away
From you and me.
You came so suddenly
And for the first time
I could see.
But no longer am I free.

Beaten down in this corner.
I fall to the misery of you peircing eyes.
I look down upon the ground.
For I see no light behind.
Love is the only thing you knew how to hide.
So ride this train wreck out
For the final time,
And let me cry.
