Let Me Hold You - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Come and let me hold you close,
whisper to you the words of love.
Stroking your hair and giving you peace
as I speak reverently about the things
of which I feel for thee.
Come let me hold you ever so tight,
ease your aching heart with all
my loving soul and might.
Show you and tell you everything that
I feel so deeply and are for real.
Let me hold you sweet dear while
to you I reveal all that is inside
this heart of mine.
Let me hold you in sweet peaceful bliss,
sharing the love we both have so missed.
Just feel your heart beating and
your loving warmth surround and protect me.
Let me hold you and we both can be happy.
Come let me hold you and hear all your needs,
tell me everything you think and you feel.
Let me explain and apologize for what I need,
I want you to tell me everything inside
of the beautiful spirit you are.
Come let me hold you as we just silently sit
giving our spirits time to talk.
Come let me hold you I just want you so near,
I long and I ache to have you right here.
To be in your arms feeling loved in pure light,
is everything from you I'll ever want.
