Let My Poem Not Die Poem by Abhay Vignesh Liginlal

Let My Poem Not Die

Pride is an illusion
Which reveals the emptiness of life
But there is always someone above you
Let that pride melt into the loftier urge of ambition
But forget not to wrap it with the blanket of hope,

They keep advising you to remain detached
Knowing that you will perish soon
Then live every hour to fulfill your dreams,

When you are out in the world’s darkness on a wintry night
You realize the value of shelter and light
If you have food and clothing beside these
You are fortunate enough to be literate
If you are the shadow of god, your pen is then his quill’s image,

Life behind the mirror of heaven is a festival
A massive poem which rolls over to recoil
A shadow which sees its own fragment
If your skill replicates gods quill
Pray that your verse lives beyond you,
Like your children & not die like them
