Let The Young People Run The World Poem by Dorsey Baker

A very old man
is driving down the road
he's got years of driving experience
its winter time
the trees are blanketed with ice
the road is slick and slippery
he is having so much trouble
staying on the road
his ability to maintain control
is not as good as it used to be
now he thinks maybe
its time to retire
himself from the wheel
leave the driving to the younger people
and maybe
its time
to just get out of the way
and let the young people run the world!
