Letter From The Trash Poem by Adrian Antique

Letter From The Trash

i found an old letter from the trash can …
only to find out it was for me from someone
i knew and never bothered to talk to
when i left while my wings were still strong and flew.
now reading what's written i feel helpless …
like knowing something is not right yet saying yes
like leaving the home i love straight into a trap...
i should have thought about the black and white and drawn a colored map.
but i did not... i chose to keep my heart and go
where clouds paint her face but it's too late and so...
i'll just keep this crumpled paper in my treasure box -
a piece of dried rose petal beneath unmoving rocks.
love often moves with an unspoken code name -
at times she's heartbreak all the same …
sometimes she hides her beautiful face in fame
but this one time, she's just a story from where i came.
