Letting Go! ! ! Poem by RIC BASTASA

outside the weather is fine
sun has come out finally after
the rain, as the typhoon leaves
leaving a flood that drowned
houses and some dead on the
river and canals,

outside the day is clear and sunny
and the flowers are starting to bloom
again, and the grasses greener than
ever.

there is no reason for sorrow
grief is temporary, try figuring out
what makes you happier, figure it out.

there is so much for life, and life
had and will always be the giver and
not the taker, so my friend, go out!
embrace the day, bury your pale self
to the health of sunshine, feel the
pulse of this new day, listen to the
heart beat of the world, go out!
run and be a part of the wind and the
waves, try surfing, try everything that
this life I offering you. Grab the day,
seize it, and then let go!
