Letting Go Poem by Gary James Smith

Letting Go

Rating: 4.2

Letting Go

Letting go is the hardest task
Of the which we have in life
Whether that be a son or daughter
Sister, husband or wife
We're not hard wired to be nonchalant
For love has endearment power
And God is love praise the Lord
And He's with us in those hour's

We know He's there at earth's departure
To welcome to His care
Each one who has believed on Him
So brother don't despair
Our kindly Shepherd leading them
To the pastures that are green
And death is dismissed in its effectiveness
We'll be with the King of kings

So grace abounds in wondrous measure
To handle grief as such
We can live with peacefulness
Because God loveth much
And one day will wipe away forever
Every fallen tear
So take hope friend in that Friend named Jesus
For He is always near
