Leviathan - Λεβιάθαν Poem by Kostas Lagos

Leviathan - Λεβιάθαν

Rating: 5.0

Like Kraken from the sea emerges

A darkness that was lurking for ages

Surrounded be tentacles I 'm in a spin

How can I be saved from the madness within?

Σαν τέρας θαλάσσιο αναδύεται

Σκοτάδι που παραμόνευε από παλιά

Πώς των πλοκαμιών ο κόμπος λύνεται

Από της τρέλας θα ξεφύγω τη θηλιά;

Our perception of our surroundings determine whether we are sane or mad. What lurks within must be contained just like the Kraken or well we know what happens. A great metaphorical poem about insanity, just keep the Kraken away from my page!

We all have this " monster" within, and so many times give into it. Will power and wanting a clear conscience saves, knowing that harming others, ourselves and our world is not the way to act nor does it bring happiness. Temptation is perfectly and precisely expressed in this deeply human poem. Liked it a lot! To my treasure chest.
