Liberals Vs Conservatives Dance Contest-Bush Wins Poem by Ted Sheridan

Liberals Vs Conservatives Dance Contest-Bush Wins

Rating: 5.0

In the United States of America last night
the two presidential candidates debated
with an obvious lackluster of intensity.
Between the two of them neither
had a light; all smoke but no fire,
a dry ice event if ever there was one.
Lower ambient temperatures
in the room than in an igloo; turning
everyone’s nipples hard. Fear not Hope
was the mantra of their little party.
There was the Ice Queen, her shrill
voice emasculating the men of their packages
and defeminizing the women with peach fuzz;
her cold blade of a tongue working overtime.
Seated to the farrrrrrr-left of her
was the Great White Hope of a black man;
a blank slate that America could use
to revisit, rewrite and then cross its racial divide.
It was two hours of many dire predictions;
self fulfilling prophecies and not a bright spot
to be seen on the country’s horizon….
It was televised, Doom meets Gloom___
Meanwhile in the darkest Africa,
all the people danced with the current President….

Jeepers Ted, the paradigm shift read you and commented. Does that mean you are annointed or marked for extinction? Incidentally, how can a few thousand party members make up the minds of the voting population - I guess by simply being blind to reality... Rgds, Ivan

Lamont, when I want to learn how to really write, I'll read some of your stuff.
