Lies And Greed Poem by Micron

Lies And Greed

Rating: 5.0

Your actions caught me off guard
When my life was already hard
You pretended to care and me assist
But your falseness, greed I did miss
I’d given you the greatest gift of all
Of friendship, love…someone to call
We’d spoke together at a difficult time
When I was weak, not using my mind
Many lies and claims, you did make
And you’re not aware of your mistake
You tried to blacken my name
Many things you did proclaim
You tried to turn away friends I did find
But unlike others some weren’t blind
One had warned me, in you to doubt
But I believed in you, I had shout
Another had known me longer than you
And she knew your lies were not true.
She showed me what you were saying to her
I stopped her taking revenge against you after
Another I nearly lost after a stormy start
She still talks and I hope sees my heart
Another is wary, him I don’t blame
In his position, I may have felt the same
Id had from your room withdrew
But he’s still silent cos of my association with you
You destroyed my trust and your actions were no joke
For not just me but others friendship you broke
I feel no bitterness even though this occurred
And forgive you - though to most this may seem absurd
One day perhaps you will see and admit your mistake
Perhaps correct some of your deeds and amends make
For I feel sorry for your loss although you still do not see
You lost good true friends and not just me.
