Life And It's Many Illusions Poem by Sarin Gomes

Life And It's Many Illusions

Rating: 5.0

Life and it's many illusions

Starry eyed, on a love-smitten night,
You think of all things beautiful and bright-
Little do you think, what the future beholds
On the other side of light.

Laughter and grin, a song within
Sets The soul ablaze, with promises thin.
The gleaming delusional world, soon begins to quiver-
when the thickened mounds of hope give-in.

The twinkling stars that shine all night,
Mirror the mirage of a radiant life-
Evoke a harrowing feeling of fright
Unveiling the reality of a gloomy plight.

It is on such nights, the world of illusions
Crumbles under the truth unveiled.
With exhausted thoughts of despair, you fall asleep
Knowing the end of a glorious tomorrow.
