Life As We Know It Poem by Sanjukta Nag

Life As We Know It

Rating: 5.0

Life is stirred in a
Goblet made of the
Ashes of nothingness

We are drinking it
With intoxicated lips
Of sheer hopefulness.

Moments slip out
Of a golden spine
Possessed by infinity

Breath of yesterday
Talks on the nape of
Today’s possibility.

Songs of sorrow
Cling to moonlight
On ledge of shadows

Dreams can’t fly out
If we deny to open our
Bright-eyed windows.

Outstanding.................left me speechless and in wonders. My favorite lines are Dreams can’t fly out If we deny to open our Bright-eyed windows.........To do litmus test of our dreams with reality we must keep our eyes opened....WOW....Loved it.
