LIFE AT TIMES IS DISHEARTENING

Life at times is disheartening
When the world and all its cares
Comes avalanching upon us
And catches us unawares.

Little by little they pile up
The load becomes heavy to bare
More swift to the Lord should we yield them
More swift to the closet for prayer.

Be ye anxious for nothing, He has told us
Sufficient for the day the evil thereof
Don't think much upon earthly matters
But keep your thoughts on Me above.

The end of the journey is dawning
Soon the Lord Jesus will appear
You will leave all things behind you
Hold lightly therefore to things here.

Your grace is sufficient for me Lord
Still I wrestle at times in distress
Cause me to surrender and yield Lord
Knowing Your way's always best.

Self is the centre of suffering
When all I can see Lord is me
Help me to walk in obedience
To have Light and true Liberty.

O to have fulness of joy Lord
I sing with all praise to Thy name
Deliverance by the blood of the Lamb Lord
Now walking and leaping who were lame.

Once blinded I see Lord, I see now
Your provision what Glory Divine
I confess, You forgive, You renew Lord
What bountiful blessings are mine.

Saved, safe and secure Lord
I'm fastened to that solid Rock Christ
No matter what momentarily stuns me
I stand and I rest in that price.

He paid for what cost me nothing
He paid the full price for my sin
How can I offer up other
Than give Him my everything.
