Life Continues To Exist Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Mountains worn with age, weather, wildlife and man,
standing tall, reaching for the sky, majestic and
proud in an early morning sunshine.

It's rays gently touching this body with a mild heat,
feeling a love of God interiorly as it gifts this soul
with compassion, caring, unconditional love and mercy.

Protecting, keeping this being safe from harm, even as
mind and heart continue to feel the sadness caused by
loss through death of loved ones.

Having gone through the black curtains of death while
on this side, life continues to exist without them, but
the loneliness of their passing is still stinging.
