Life Discarded Poem by David Harris

Life Discarded

Life like withered leaves
can so easily fall
when discarded from use.
It loses its momentum
the force to drive it along.
Then its sad fate is ignored
as is its faltering flaws
until the time it returns to dust
to be swept across the land
and is scattered by the four winds
to land here, there and everywhere.
A life when it is discarded
holds the biggest hurt of all.
