life in death......... experiencing that is that most crucial.......inhaling and exhaling and infront of us life in death...........
i nurse life as well death between each inhalation and exhalation marks 10 a great revelation shan
Short, simple and a really nice eerie feel to it. Stanza One is composed of a nice juxtaposition between living ('quickly breathed life...') and dying ('fast dying') of the persona. Stanzas Two and Three are connected together with the use of enjambment. 'I nurse life as well death' 'Well death' is a perfect example of an oxymoron; as death can never be in perfect health. 'inhalation and exhalation' Symbolism is used quite effectively in this line. Inhalation = life Exhalation = death (I say this because when we inhale, we are taking in life; exhale, and we allow life to escape our body. This can be taken even further to represent the life cycle of mankind. 'I nurse' gives the persona a god-like sense; and each and everytime the persona inhales, life is given to the world; exhaling takes life away from. [This is just my interpretation of Stanza 4]) My suggestion to you is this: If you add a little more punctuation to this poem, it would make a perfect poem to read out lout; as the punctuation creates natural pauses in the poem to help create a more powerful mood and create a slower, more eerie pace. Exactly what this poem needs. The overall message given out by this poem, is that life cannot exist without death. A great read and a great poem. Love it. Brilliant work.
