Life In Its Colors Poem by Uma Pochampalli Goparaju

Life In Its Colors

I may never reach you
You may never seek me
Some lives are lost
Only heaven knows why..

When the thunder rumbled
And the heavens poured
I did not know if you held
was it you, didn't let me go?

I wake up and stay all night
Not knowing whatever went
Your face is such a blur
That I can hardly recollect

Each time I put the pieces
They do not stay together
May be one more glimpse
Would help me make out

For death alone do we part,
So, join me to celebrate life
Life in its colorful ways
Lest the night owl cries
