Life is a one time gift of God
That goes ahead with its own accord
Life does't obey anybody's behest
Except the command of great God
Life doesn't go very smooth
Like the life of twittering birds
We Swot hard to reach our goals
But often predestined fate retards
Life cannot be well defined
As it has its ups and downs
Sometime it gives a shattered blow
Irrespective of kings and clowns
Sometime life topples at dark night
Like the kingfisher of a distant lake
Our new love gets rusted
Though we maintain the rule of give and take
Our long-cherished dreams break
Like pieces of smooth glass
We are very often betrayed
By beautiful young lass
Life becomes happy and joyous
When love knocks at the door
We enjoy life to the lees
And honestly long for more
Life is like a precious diamond
That we don't want to lose
It's a mixture of joy and grief
And often doesn't come as we choose.
