Life Is A Haiku Poem by Jyotishman Debnath

Life Is A Haiku

life is a nostalgic poem,
looking back to the memory lane
the last whisling train
at midnight
autumnal leaves all around
cherishing for spring
some smiles some tears
distance between all 'love you's and 'good byes'
afterwards it is quiet
the quiet of music
the quiet of sun rise and set

a river is flowing inside the heart
to cross the thousand bays of desire
sometimes it goes back to the source
the stormy night
and the quietness
Ah! painfull

indeed, life is a nostalgic poem
in the violin of night
a sad tune
nights can't keep
the aroma of the dreams

I have named the night 'waiting'
and the morning never came!

waiting lights the flames
of memories
and cover up,

from the deepset depth
to the highest hights,
the plateau of heart
making the plateau
touch the sky
to reach the clouds
commencing the silence
of thousand years of rain

life is a nostalgic poem
written by memory
or may be
it is a haiku
the poem finishes
before realizing the meaning!
