Life Is Not Forgiving
Wake up with a heavy head
Afraid that into pieces this poor
Life would be ripped apart
In doubt about the promises
Time holds for future
I walk bearing the load of a
Deeply saddened heart
Nothing new and promising
Life offers to make it worth living
There are thorns on every chosen
Path and there is poison in
Thoughts of all who are close
Life behaves so strange and cruel
Not at all forgiving
