Life Steps On Me Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Life Steps On Me

Dead branches lying across pathways in my mind,
taking up space and time that I could be writing
instead.

Life steps on me too often, creasing my emotions
and stifling my independence, causing me to get
tired and exhaust myself.
