Despite an opportune wide open door,
Hither comes a man defeated in mind,
Unsure underdog, tail tucked unto hind,
His life drifting unto a hellish shore,
He lives life as if led, life of no alts,
Chasing mirages, serving double-faults!
In spite of a door banged shut on his face,
Comes thence a man with great belief in him,
Walking lion's gait, musing on his dream,
Bang hitting a sure shot— a tennis ace,
All odds-against, break point, an ace on deuce,
O to snatch advantage, don'ts into dos!

Topic: courage, attitude
Attitude is much more important than opportunities. Some fail to see the wide door lying open before them, while some others with confidence, break the closed door open. Such people will surely have their way. The way to success depends more on the effort one takes. Great message and a beautiful poem.

A sure shot! ! Life! The way you look at it; Advantages against the odds. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
Advantage followed by an ace, and the game is yours, whilst the other guy thinks of another deuce.
