Lifeless Body Is Laid Out In Mourning Memories Poem by Terence George Craddock

Lifeless Body Is Laid Out In Mourning Memories

Rating: 5.0

a loss lifeless body laid
out with care to rest
impact lying peacefully

time contemplating
the lifeless body laid
to rest the various

emotions of mourners
walking tightrope lines
felt rituals in mourning

sadness grief desolation
etched in faces in degrees
defining bond relationships

respect is paid
in first final farewells
lines eyes faces

postures paying respect
in arrival solemn silence
in tap memories surfaces

contrast elements
overlaid time cycles
differing memories

the lifeless body laid
to rest is finality infused
with intimate farewells

body precious kept close
in close kept mourning
too soon to be close hearts

released to prepared
final resting place
in time ripples visited

living lives must part with deceased dead
cannot dwell in shared occupied spaces
memories sorrow lingers in thought spaces
