In the fragrant bowl before us,
Voices five their power combine.
Singing loud the mighty chorus,
All alcohol makes life divine.
Juice of Lemon, clear soprano,
Rings aloft its joyous peal.
Milder notes with soft piano,
From the Tea as alto steal.
Sugar, like a rich contralto,
Tones the Lemon's loftier flight.
Whilst the Rum's tenor robusto,
Lends the choir its leading might.
Last but not least to blend in,
Is the one on which they call.
To leave out would be a sin,
Pure Water harmonizes all.
Then let us drink and through our voices,
Aligned together in the magic strain.
In each heart the brown brew rejoices,
Who all aloud sing life's refrain.
