Like A Fish Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Like A Fish

Trampled!
Under their feet;
Tended!
Like a fish;
Darkness! !
The shadow of death;
Pearls!
Of your pearls;
But, do not give what is holy to the dogs! !
Nor, cast your pearls before the swine.
Swine, wine!
Eating Satan's meat and drinking to your full;
But, each day has enough of its own troubles.
Be, besides!
To assess the conditions of your house;
Like a man under fire! !
However, those who curse the day do curse the night also.
