Like A Sailboat On A Lake Poem by Gert Strydom

Like A Sailboat On A Lake

Sometimes life makes you drift on
like a sailboat on a lake
swaying on the wake
and on the embankment
there are bluegum trees
standing with their white trunks
and the breeze blows
its own way
and the waves lapse up and down
with life rocking you
to its direction.
