Lilac Streams Poem by Emma Atkinson

Lilac Streams

Rating: 5.0

Where lilac rivers rush
Through clouds of candy brush...
Where the sapphire sky sings,
And silver meadows dance...
Where rosy-cheeked laughter rings
As if by chance...
Where amber-robed trees with rubies grow,
And diamonds fall on fields of snow...
Where winged willows whisper,
And blue-throated birds speak...
Where nothing is crisper
Than the voice of the creek...
Where clouds drift along the blushing breeze,
And humpbacked hills recline with ease...
Where fluttering hopes fly,
Bright and brilliant as the new-born sky...
Look to where the horizon kisses the sun,
Beyond the land of dreams...
And fly, dance, run, if you must,
To find a trace of lilac streams
