Lilypad Lake Poem by Margaret O Driscoll

Lilypad Lake

Rating: 5.0

The boardwalk by Lilypad lake
is the special sanctuary I seek
I gaze at the white water lillies
as I reflect on events of the week

Wild cherries I'd picked by the path while I stood on a bench of stone
Taste of sunshine and sweetness
as I ponder by the lake all alone

Fabulous poem, sounds like a place I'd love to be.
