(limerick)My Son Appears In Act Two Only
My son Brad has been one of the troop
With the Gilbert and Sullivan group
For a number of years
They are all volunteers
Seems this year he is out of the loop
When I heard of the change in effect
I considered it one of neglect
He has a strong voice
Has played roles of his choice
But he does act two only, correct?
Well I thought as proud parent I might
Question the wisdom of this oversight
But upon discovery...
(I must try a recovery) ...
'The Mikado' was his and he did it just right.
I'm not a fan of the stage, but remain a fan of your limericks.
Quite an interesting poem created in limerick form. Thanks, WES, for the poem as well as Poet's Notes.
Not an actual occurrence (the misunderstanding) but an interesting scenario wot? only act two? harrumph

Fun multiple limerick. I'm glad you explained in your poet note about the Mikado. I have never seen it and would never have known that fact. Poet notes are the best thing about Poem Hunter. I hate how they keep adding those annoying soundtracks to my poems, so now I put Spanish, Portuguese or gibberish in the poem area and put the real poem where the notes are supposed to go!
I am aghast.. never seen the Mikado . I envy you.. I consider it the best of the best operettas You are in for a clever treat by the master Gilbert
A wonderful idea, Kim. I will have to listen to how the computer reads them. : -)
